The Ros McArthur Art Studio will be involved in 2012 from September 1 to November 30, with a special exhibition of oil paintings depicting the natural surroundings of the Grampians National Park whether landscapes, gardens, flowers or featuring native vegetation. Roslyn’s large garden will also be open to the public to explore and enjoy.

A diverse and abundant garden surrounds the Studio at Woollahra featuring native and exotic plantings all against the backdrop of the Grampian mountains.

Whether you are visiting for the paintings or the garden or for both, a walk around the grounds is always guaranteed to relax your perspective on the hustle bustle of everyday life.

Many of Ros’s works are captured right outside in her garden, so even indoors you’ll find some of her finer of outdoor creations!

The garden supplies an abundance of painting opportunities – single flower portraits, traditional still life, secret corners and vistas through foliage to the mountains beyond. Indeed Ros and David have built both gallery and garden to borrow from the natural surroundings.

After much ‘trial and error’ the garden’s 2-3 acres now consists of frost and drought tolerant plants from both Australia and abroad. The silver birch walk is delightfully cool and shady in the heat of summer and a relaxing treat awaits.

Rain is always welcome in the Southern Grampians shire, but for now the dam is three quarters full and so too are the garden beds!

Upon your visit to the Art studio & Woollahra, ask Ros for a garden tour.
